Life's Been Good to Me So Far
I can't complain, but sometimes I still do,
Life's been good to me so far.

So, I get a really long time to just sit and think while I'm at work, and for the last couple weeks, since something significant happened, I've been doing a lot of thinking about my life, and I've realized that, even though I'm 19 years old (plus one week), I have lived an absolutely great life and I really just want to thank those of you who have played a role in my moulding. Let me elaborate.
A couple weeks ago, in the 24 Hours paper, Devon Swift wrote an article on the 'Five Things You Want to Do Before You Die.' It got me thinking to what it is exactly that I'd like to do, and I still don't know... because many of the things that I've thought of... I've done, and that startles me. I always feel as if I'm lazy and unproductive... but yet, I've lived a fulfilling, enriching and perhaps enviable life.
- I have been on TV (actual television series).
- I have been in a movie.
- I have been on the news.
- I have been on the radio.
- I have recorded music with a band, and released it on CD.
- I have performed on stage, both as actor and musician.
- I have had stuff I've written published.
- I have played, on stage, in front of thousands of people, with my all-time favourite band.
- I have seen (as of this October) all the bands, that I currently feel are worthy of seeing live, live.
- I have travelled.
- I have broken the stereotypes that go along with being a teenager.
- I have loved.
- I have found a group of friends, with whom I always enjoy spending time with, with whom I can trust 100% and with whom I have built solid enough relationships that they seem more like family, than friends.
- I have chosen a career path at a young age; one that I am not doing for money, prominance or acclaim, rather because it will be a career I will always enjoy.
This list is without a doubt incomplete, as well, there are many more things that I hope to, and eventually will accomplish before I become too old to do many of them.
So... thank you to those who have contributed, in any way shape or form to anything on that list, or anything that has affected my life. I'm rather content with my life at the moment, so thank you.
